    Referring back to this thread:

    https://pyd.io/f/topic/force-initial-workspace/

    in particular this comment from Charles:

    You can re-enable the old “pass_change” action that would appear in the top-right user menu, and that way no need to access to dashboard. But user will only be able to edit their password.

    and this instruction:

    you’ll have to go to the core.auth/standard_auth_actions.xml file, find pass_change, and enable it by setting ajxpWidgets=”UserWidget”

    Is this still possible in version 6?

    Thanks Charles.

    I managed to do this before, but this time, I can’t find ajxpWidgets anywhere in the core.auth/standard_auth_actions.xml file. If I need to add it, please can you advise precisely where in that file it needs to go.

    Thanks,
    Carl

    I figured this out eventually:

    browse to [pydio_folder]/plugins/core.auth
    edit standard_auth_actions.xml

    find this bit:

    <action name=”pass_change”>
    <gui text=”194″ title=”194″ src=”yast_security.png” iconClass=”icon-key” accessKey=”” hasAccessKey=”false”>
    <context selection=”false” dir=”” recycle=”true” actionBarGroup=”utils”/>
    </gui>

    change it as follows:

    <action name=”pass_change”>
    <gui text=”194″ title=”194″ src=”yast_security.png” iconClass=”icon-key” accessKey=”” hasAccessKey=”false”>
    <context selection=”false” dir=”” recycle=”true” actionBarGroup=”utils” ajxpWidgets=”UserWidget”/>
    </gui>

    It seems that this change might be resetting itself when there is a software update. Not certain. Charles, is it possible?
