    Hi,

I use ajaxplorer 4.2.2 on my ubuntu server 12.04 system. Everything works so far.

If I create a new repository with path “AJAXP_DATA_PATH/public/test” and Repository Driver “File System (Standard)” and File creation mask “0666” and hook set create Folder “yes”, ajax says it is ok:
“Successfully created repository! You can now add some ‘Metadata Sources’ to enrich the data, add automatic indexation, etc”

Now if I want to access the Repository, ajax brings the following message:
“Cannot create root path for repository (Werkstatt). Please check repository configuration or that your folder is writeable!”

I checked the path on my server via shell and in /var/www/data/public there’s no folder called “test”.

The public folder has the permission 0777.

The complete data folder is stored on a second partition on my server via an symlink. Could that be the problem?

The data ordner is linked to /media/HDD2/data on the partition.

    The symlink for data:
    mkdir /media/HDD2/data
    ln -s /media/HDD2/data/ /var/www/

And i linked the complete tmp folder (linux root tmp folder):
    mkdir /media/HDD2/tmp
    ln –s /media/HDD2/tmp/ /

    What can i do?

mm, probably the symlink problem, it might be some lower php / filesystem config. The “create” is working for the repositories located elsewhere?

i created a new repository on path /home . It does not work:
Cannot create recycle bin folder. Please check repository configuration or that your folder is writeable!

So where i have to set the right permissions on the server or on ajax?

The HDD2 is mounted as follows in the /etc/fstab:

    /dev/xvdb /media/HDD2 ext4 rw,user,auto, 0 2

    Now it works!

I had to enter the exactly path* of the mounted partition of the new repository file:

    /media/HDD2/data/test
