What's next?

Step 1 - Install Pydio on your server

Deploy Pydio on your server

Using scp or an FTP client, upload the archive you just downloaded to your web server. Extract the content of the archive inside a web-accessible folder, for example /var/www/pydio.

Adjust permissions

Make sure that under the pydio folder, the /data/folder and the .htaccess is writeable by your webserver, either by assigning owner to the web server user (generally www-data or apache) or assigning rights to all.
On Windows, you would check the IIS_IUSRS permission.
On Linux, this can be done with: chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/pydio/data.

Open your browser and follow the guide!

Prepare your MySQL credentials, your locale (type echo $LANG on your server command line) and open https://<yoursite>/pydio in your web browser.
Pydio installer will help you setup and administrative account, the connection to the database, and eventually choose between starting a 30 days Trial License or enter a valid license.

You are good to go!

Login with the email you just setup, and start using Pydio. You can access to the Enterprise Dashboard by selecting "Settings" in the top-right menu.

Learn about users management, workspaces and all the possible configurations you can setup in Pydio.

Read the Administration Guide

You can also check our F.A.Q. or go on the Forum. Feel free to check the licence terms also.

Step 2 : Install desktop Sync apps

PydioSync enables a local folder to sync with the web interface (or to other computers using the Desktop sync app) when you or your collaborators make changes in Pydio. PydioSync is based on robust technologies, and prepared to handle large amounts of data. Regular updates are released to continuously improve the app.

Step 3 : Download mobile apps

Pydio has native applications for both iOS and Android devices to cover most of the mobile device cases and offer a quick access to your files.
