New Partnership with Collabora Productivity to allow Document Editing and Online Collaboration
Collabora Productivity, the driving force behind putting LibreOffice in the cloud is partnering with Pydio, the popular Open Source platform for file sharing and synchronization.
Pydio users will be able to integrate with Collabora Online, the company’s newly released online office suite.
Pydio allows companies to deliver their own online file sharing, through secure, managed access to their on-premise servers or private cloud. With Collabora Productivity, Pydio users will be able, not only to access documents online, but also to author new content and work collaboratively.
“With recent integrations into Federated sharing this partnership with Collabora Productivity will round out Pydio's file sync and sharing offering, for those enterprises that are looking for a scalable and secure package, perfectly” said Charles du Jeu, CEO of Pydio.
“Collabora Online is easy to integrate and will provide Pydio’s users with the online office functionality they need” said Michael Meeks, General Manager at Collabora Productivity. “Our focus at Collabora Productivity is to bring LibreOffice to the Cloud. This partnership will enrich Pydio’s product offerings as we compete with commercial solutions like Google Docs or Microsoft Office Online.”
